Press Release Summary: There has been a lot of discussion about the New Zealand Company Affiliate Junktion after they started their pay per lead program. After having been in the program for a while, it is time to clear out what are myths and what is fact.
Press Release Body: Facts: 1) Pay Per Lead Affiliate Junktion is a New Zealand company offering a free pay per lead program. The affiliates start with a payment of $2 per lead, but the payments increases as you make more leads. The top payment is $5 per lead. 2) Free To Join The program is free to join. You have to sign up with Ipower for a hosting plan and you have in fact to pay for that, about $60-70 for one year hosting. But you get this money back from Affiliate Junktion as soon as you have signed up. They give a sign-up bonus of $75. 3) Free website, domain and advertising tools You are provided a domain name, your own affiliate website and some free advertising tools, that is about $155 in advertising credits with Yahoo and Google. 4) Free training material Together with the website package you also get a training program that you have to work with. It is not very heavy stuff, although there are a lot of pages. It is important to work through the whole material before you start.
Myths 1) The advertising is so expensive that you only make money for the Affiliate Junktion and not for yourself. This is a very common myth, and of course it is not true. What is true is that I made very little money in the start, and would have lost money if it was not for the free advertising tools. But after studying the training material things went better. Now I pay not more than $0,15-0,16 per click with Google adwords and my campaigns now are quite successful. 2) The conversion rate is horrific. The Affiliate Junktion promises very high conversion rate, between 50 and 65 percent. This can sounds like an exaggeration, but in relation to the clicks you actually have and the leads you make, it is not far from the truth. In the start, my conversion rate was as low as 12%, but today it varies between 30-40% and 65-70 on my best days, but usually it is around 50% 3) The Affiliate Junktion doesn\'t pay their affiliates. This is clearly a myth and nobody, as far as I have seen has given proof for this. There are a lot of affiliates in the program. It is not likely that so many would work for Affiliate Junktion without getting paid, and bad rumors would spread very fast on the Internet. Usually the affiliates get paid the last day in every month, but you have to have stayed in the program for at least 45 days to qualify for your first payment. 4) The Affiliate Junktion gives a “guarantee” that you can make at least $150 a day with this program. I asked myself what this “guarantee” was worth. Will you get paid if you don’t manage $150 within 30 days? I didn’t, but it was my own fault. I was very careful with my advertising budget and wanted to be sure that the conversion rate was high enough before I increased my daily budget. In fact, as far as I can see, the Affiliate Junktion never promises to pay you if you don’t manage this level. But on the other side, if you really work hard with this program, follow the instructions and advertise as much as you can, it should not be so difficult to make $150 a day within 30 days. It is not a problem to get your ads clicked, and with a conversion rate of 50% it is not difficult to make 75 people sign up per day. When your payment rises to $5 per lead, 75 signups will give you $375 a day. In fact many affiliates make more than $500 a day in this program, even people that has not been in the program very long.
Conclusion:The Affiliate Junktion is not a scam. It is possible to make money with this program, even $150 a day or more, but you need to calculate some money for your advertising campaign - or be very good to find successful free advertising.
